The central government has intensified preparations to ensure the safety of the Amarnath Yatra, which begins on July 3rd. Union Home Minister Amit Shah held a major meeting regarding the security arrangements for the Yatra and issued necessary instructions to officials.
The meeting decided that drones, CCTV cameras, and other modern technology will be used along the Yatra route to monitor every activity. Additionally, the police, army, and paramilitary forces will jointly manage the security arrangements.
Amit Shah stated that the safety of pilgrims is the government’s top priority. He instructed officials to ensure that no inconvenience occurs during the Yatra.
Special attention will be paid to the registration of people and animals associated with the Yatra. A plan to link identity cards with QR codes has also been emphasized.
The meeting also reviewed arrangements for accommodation, health facilities, disaster management, and other necessary arrangements for pilgrims. Officials were instructed to maintain strong security along the Yatra route and major tourist destinations.
It is worth noting that this year the Amarnath Yatra will begin on July 3 and continue until August 28. The administration claims that all necessary arrangements are being made to provide a safe and comfortable journey for the pilgrims.
