Srinagar Police Seize Illegal Drugs Transported via Courier Company

SRINAGAR: The operation against illegal drug trafficking, Srinagar Police in Karan Nagar have successfully seized a large consignment of illegal drugs being transported through a courier service. The operation took place at the premises of Shree Maruti Courier Service located in Chota Bazar.

Acting on reliable information, a search was conducted at the courier office after following due legal procedures, resulting in the recovery of a substantial quantity of illegal drugs. The seized drug’s include:
1. Mavrix-T Codeine – 220 bottles
2. Spasmoproxyvon – 15 boxes (7 strips per box)
3. Pregabalin – 60 strips

Following the recovery, a case has been registered under FIR No. 01/2025 at Police Station Karan Nagar under relevant sections of the law. Investigations are underway to trace both the forward and backward supply chain of the seized consignment.

A manhunt has been launched to apprehend the accused involved in this trafficking network.
