The Indira Gandhi Memorial Tulip Garden in Srinagar has received a massive influx of tourists this year. In just 28 days, 3.42 Lakh people visited, making it a major attraction in Kashmir.
The garden is located on the banks of Dal Lake and between the Zabarwan Hills. It opened to the public on March 16th. Since then, thousands of tourists have been visiting every day. According to officials, approximately 10,000 to 12,000 people visit the garden daily.
This year, 75 varieties of tulips have been planted in the garden. Approximately 1.8 million flowers have added a vibrant color to the entire area. Visitors from India and abroad are delighted by its beauty.
A tourist from Mumbai said that this is her second visit, and each time the garden looks more beautiful. Meanwhile, a tourist from Delhi said that it was his dream to see the Tulip Garden, which has now been fulfilled.
Tourists now have limited time. The administration has announced that the garden will be closed from April 16th.
Last year, a record number of visitors arrived here. 8.55 lakh tourists arrived in 30 days. This year too, a good number of tourists are visiting, which seems to be increasing tourism in Kashmir.
