Bodies of three friends who drowned in Tawi River recovered, Nagrota plunges into mourning

A major update has emerged in the case of the drowning of three teenagers who went to bathe in the Tawi River near the Sainik School in Nagrota. Rescue teams have recovered the bodies of the three teenagers. This tragic accident has sent shockwaves through the area and left three families in deep grief.

According to reports, five teenagers had gone to bathe in the Tawi River around 3:30 pm on Sunday. Bavish Kaul (15), Aditya Pandit (15), and Sonam Dutt (16) were swept away by the strong current and swept into the deep water. Two other teenagers managed to escape safely.

Following the incident, police, NDRF, and SDRF teams immediately arrived at the scene and launched a search operation. The search continued overnight using torchlight, but yielded no results.

The operation resumed on Monday morning. After extensive efforts, the bodies of the first two teenagers were recovered, while the search for the third teenager was ongoing. The body of the third teenager has also been recovered after a search operation that lasted late into the night.

It is reported that the bodies were trapped in the silt at the bottom of the river, which made it difficult to retrieve them.

Upon discovery, the family members present at the scene were in an uproar. The cries of parents and relatives filled the atmosphere with grief. A pall of grief has descended upon the entire area. The bodies of the three teenagers have been sent for post-mortem examination, and preparations for the funeral are underway.

Following the accident, the family spent the entire night on the banks of the Tawi River. Everyone hoped that the children would be found safe, but as time passed, those hopes were dashed.
