The Jammu and Kashmir administration has made a major administrative reshuffle in the Finance Department, transferring 117 accounting and treasury officers and making new appointments. The order was issued by Financial Commissioner and Additional Chief Secretary Shailendra Kumar. Administrative activity in various departments has intensified immediately following the order.
According to the government order, several officers have been assigned new responsibilities, while some have been given additional portfolios in addition to their existing responsibilities. The administration states that the purpose of this reshuffle is to make departmental functioning more effective and transparent.
Under the order, Narinder Singh has been transferred from the Directorate of Sericulture to the Directorate of Ecology, Environment and Remote Sensing as Accounts Officer. He has also been given additional charge of the accounts of the Social Forestry Department.
Mukesh Sharma has been transferred from the office of the IGP (ZPHQ), Jammu, to the position of Accounts Officer in the Directorate of Hospitality and Protocol. He has also been given the additional responsibility of the accounts of the Registrar of Cooperative Societies.
Mehak Gupta has been appointed as the Accounts Officer in the Commissioner, Drug and Food Control Organization, on a full-time basis.
Masood Ahmed Mattoo has been transferred from the Hospitality and Protocol Department to the Accounts Officer in the ICDS, Jammu and Kashmir, with additional charge of the Vatsalya and Mission Shakti schemes.
Sunderbani Treasury Officer Vikram Jyoti has been appointed as the Accounts Officer in the State Health Agency (Ayushman Bharat).
This major reshuffle by the Finance Department is being considered a significant step towards strengthening the administrative system. Following the transfers, the process of taking charge in the respective departments has also begun.
