Jammu and Kashmir politics is set to intensify as Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President Nitin Naveen is expected to visit the state later this month. This will be his first official visit to Jammu and Kashmir since becoming the national president, and is considered significant for the party.
According to sources, Nitin Naveen’s visit is expected to begin on April 27th or 29th. As part of his program, he will spend two days in Jammu participating in organizational meetings and one day in Srinagar. In Srinagar, he will address members of the party’s State Executive Committee and discuss strategies to strengthen the BJP’s support base in the Kashmir Valley.
Prior to this visit, the first meeting of the newly formed State BJP Executive Committee will be held in Jammu on April 19th. This meeting will focus on strengthening the organization at the grassroots level, especially increasing the party’s presence in rural and remote areas. Additionally, a roadmap will be developed to strengthen the party structure down to the booth level and intensify the public relations campaign.
It is reported that several senior leaders, including Union Minister Dr. Jitendra Singh, MPs Jugal Kishore Sharma and Ghulam Ali Khatana, Leader of the Opposition Sunil Sharma, and State BJP President Sat Sharma, will participate in this important tour.
During the tour, along with a review of organizational activities, key issues such as the selection of MLAs from the nominated quota in the Assembly are likely to be discussed. Furthermore, the Women’s Reservation Bill and the political and social situation in the state will also be discussed.
Party sources believe that this visit will set a new strategy for the BJP in Jammu and Kashmir, especially in terms of expanding its support base in the Kashmir Valley. In the coming days, the BJP may launch a comprehensive public relations campaign here, the blueprint for which will be prepared during this visit.
