The Common Entrance Test (CET-2026) for admission to various undergraduate courses at Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology (SKUAST-Jammu) will be held on Sunday, June 28. Approximately 4,000 candidates from Jammu & Kashmir and Ladakh are expected to appear for this entrance examination. The university administration has completed all necessary preparations to ensure the exam is conducted in a fair, transparent, and peaceful manner.
According to the university administration, the exam will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM. Candidates will be allowed entry into the examination centers starting at 8:00 AM. All candidates have been instructed to arrive at the center ahead of time, carrying their admit card and a valid photo identity proof.
Admission to These Courses
Admission to several key undergraduate courses at the university will be granted through CET-2026. These include B.V.Sc. & A.H. (Veterinary Science), B.Sc. (Hons.) Agriculture, B.Sc. (Hons.) Horticulture, B.Tech. Agricultural Engineering, B.Tech. Dairy Technology, Biotechnology, and other courses.
City Colleges Designated as Exam Centers
To ensure the smooth conduct of the exam, various colleges in Jammu city, in addition to the SKUAST-Jammu campus, have been designated as examination centers. The university stated that security, seating arrangements, drinking water, and other essential facilities have been provided at all centers to ensure candidates do not face any inconvenience.
Selection Based on Merit
The university administration has clarified that admission will be granted entirely based on merit secured in CET-2026. A merit list will be released after the declaration of exam results; the counseling process will then commence, and admissions to the various courses will be finalized accordingly. The university has appealed to all candidates to adhere to the examination guidelines, arrive at the exam center ahead of time, and refrain from any form of unfair practice, so that the examination process can be conducted smoothly.
