Preparations for the Shri Amarnath Yatra 2026 have reached their final stages in Jammu. This year, keeping in mind the convenience, safety, and crowd management of pilgrims, the Tawi River Front has been designated as a major hub for the Yatra. The administration is developing a massive tent city here, where pilgrims will be provided with a variety of facilities, including registration, token distribution, RFID cards, accommodation, food, and medical care, all under one roof.
The tent city is being rapidly constructed from the Bhagwati Nagar Fourth Bridge to the Warehouse area. The administration believes this arrangement will significantly reduce congestion at the Jammu Railway Station and other locations and provide a better experience for pilgrims.
Mobile toilets, drinking water, lighting, and security facilities are being strengthened at the Tawi River Front. Police and security forces have been deployed throughout the area to ensure the safety of pilgrims. No person or vehicle is being allowed to enter without permission.
According to officials, token distribution for current registration will begin on June 30, while the process of converting non-KYC registrations to e-KYC registrations will begin on July 1. The yatra will officially begin on July 3, and Jammu appears fully prepared for it.
The administration claims that this time, the Tawi River Front will not only serve as a facilitation center but also a special attraction for pilgrims. Devotees visiting here will be provided with superior facilities along with a religious atmosphere so that they leave Jammu with a pleasant and memorable experience.
There is an atmosphere of excitement in Jammu city regarding the Amarnath Yatra, and preparations are in full swing to welcome the pilgrims amid chants of “Bam Bam Bhole.”
