JAMMU: In an act of alertness and prompt action, Police team of Police Station R.S Pura headed by SHO P/S R.S Pura Inspector Ravi Singh Parihar assisted by ASI Ashok Kumar while on patrolling duty in the area of P/S R.S Pura received an information about the gamblers in the Ward No.10 R.S Pura area of PS R.S Pura.
On this police teams raided at said place and found 08 gamblers along with ₹16500 of stake money and two deck of playing cards.
On this preventive Action under section 13 Gambling Act has been produced before JMIC R.S Pura
Accused were identified as—Kuldeep Kumar S/o Sain Dass, Shamsher Singh S/o Devinder Singh both r/o Ward No. 10 R.S Pura, Harmeet Singh s/o Gurmeet Singh R/o ward no.08 R.S Pura, Mohit Kumar S/o Vijay Kumar r/o Ward No. 09 R.S Pura, Tilak Raj S/o lt Des Raj R/o Ward No. 09 R.S Pura,Mohd Aslam S/o Khazar Mohd Ved Raj S/o Gopal Dass both R/o Tahal khadika Jammu, Shami S/o Bashir Masih r/o Ward No. 10 R.S Pura.
Persons found indulging in criminal activities shall be dealt as per law. General Public has applauded this act of Police. Community members are requested to share information regarding the crimes in their neighbourhood with the local police units.
