Jammu, 29 July 2025: The Union Minister of Education, Shri Dharmendra Pradhan, virtually inaugurated four newly constructed buildings of theCentral University of Jammutoday. The ceremony was held in the august presence of Shri Jayant Chaudhary, Hon’ble Minister of Skill Development and Entrepreneurship (Independent Charge), Government of India, and Shri Sukanta Majumdar, Hon’ble Minister of State, Ministry of Education and Ministry of Development of North Eastern Region, Government of India.
Prof. Sanjeev Jain, Hon’ble Vice Chancellor of Central University of Jammu, was present at the venue and witnessed the virtual inauguration ceremony.
The building were inaugurated are Aryabhatta Bhawan– School of Basic and Applied Sciences, Chanakya Bhawan – Library cum Administration Building, Shailputri Bhawan – 500-Bedded Girls’ Hostel and Brig. Rajinder Singh, MVC Bhawan – 500-Bedded Boys’ Hostel.
The inauguration was live streamed at the University Auditorium, where it was attended by Prof. Yashwant Singh, Registrar, along with Deans, Directors, Heads of Departments, administrative officers, and other university staff.
This momentous occasion highlights Central University of Jammu’sdedication to advancing the goals of NEP 2020 by enhancing academic infrastructure and promoting inclusive, quality education. The University remains steadfast in its mission to contribute to India’s vision of a knowledge-driven and developed nation.
