On Monday evening, the Border Security Force (BSF) apprehended a 50-year-old man roaming under suspicious circumstances in the Mayan border area along the India-Pakistan international border in Jammu. A BSF patrol team spotted him in the Mayan BOP area in the Phalliyan Mandal sub-sector of the Makwal forward belt and detained him.

According to reports, when BSF personnel questioned the man, he was unable to provide a satisfactory explanation for his presence in the sensitive area. Following this, the personnel immediately took him into custody and began questioning him.

Initial interrogation revealed that the man appeared to be mentally unstable, but security agencies are taking the matter seriously and investigating every aspect. Officials say that no possibility can be ruled out at this time.

No objectionable material was recovered from the man during the search. Despite this, intensive interrogation is underway to determine his identity, where he came from, and what his motive was.

The BSF later handed over the apprehended man to the police for further investigation.
