On April 22, 2025, in the Baisaran Valley, amidst gunfire and screams, when everyone was trying to save their own lives, Adil Shah, a son of Hapatnar, stood facing death to save others. Amidst the terrorists’ bullets, he tried to rescue several tourists, but ultimately became a victim himself. Adil Shah was the only local resident among the 26 people killed in that bloody terrorist attack.
A year later, in Adil’s memory, his family has been handed a new house in his native village of Hapatnar. This house was built by Shiv Sena to provide support to the family of the son who sacrificed his life for humanity.
The family of Adil Shah, who lost his life in the terrorist attack in Baisaran Valley on April 22, 2025, has been given a new house in his native village of Hapatnar. Adil Shah was the only local resident among the 26 people killed in that tragic attack. He risked his own life to save tourists, only to fall victim to the terrorists.
This house was built by Shiv Sena for Adil Shah’s family. Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister Eknath Shinde participated virtually in the house-dedication ceremony. Maharashtra government ministers were present and handed over the keys to Adil Shah’s family.
Adil Shah’s courage and sacrifice were remembered during the ceremony. Speakers said that Adil Shah risked his own life to save others. His act was an example of humanity and bravery.
Adil Shah’s father, Syed Haider Shah, expressed his gratitude to Shiv Sena and the Maharashtra government for their assistance. He stated that the family received financial assistance and remained in constant contact during this difficult time. He also stated that the Jammu and Kashmir government has also provided assistance to the family. Adil Shah’s wife has been given a job, and other necessary assistance has been provided to the family.
Syed Haider Shah, emotionally expressing his hope that no amount of help can compensate for the loss of his son. He said, “Adil put humanity above everything else. He rose above religion and caste to save lives. We are proud of our son, but his loss can never be compensated.”
Other family members also expressed their deepest condolences, saying that Adil Shah remains alive in their memories. His sacrifice will always be a source of pride for the family. Villagers also described Adil as a brave and kind-hearted man who tried to save others’ lives until his last breath.
This house handover ceremony in Hapatnar village once again brought Adil Shah’s bravery and sacrifice to the forefront. People say that people like Adil Shah are an inspiration to society and his name will always be remembered with respect.
