Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s appeal to save fuel is now having an impact at the Jammu and Kashmir Raj Bhavan. Jammu and Kashmir Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha has decided to reduce the number of vehicles in his official convoy by half.
According to officials at the Raj Bhavan, Prime Minister Narendra Modi recently appealed to citizens to reduce fuel consumption and use resources judiciously. Following this, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha took this important decision. Administrative officials say this step will not only save fuel but also reduce government expenditure.
On Wednesday, during the inauguration and foundation stone laying ceremony of various development projects in the border village of Trehgam in Kupwara district, Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha reiterated the government’s commitment to the development of border villages. He said the government’s goal is to develop every border village into a model village, providing people with access to all basic amenities such as roads, education, health, and employment.
LG Sinha stated that since 2019, the central government has been working tirelessly to integrate border areas into the mainstream of development. He urged officials to implement development plans expeditiously and transparently.
He also stated that the government is continuously striving to provide better education to children and employment opportunities to youth in border villages, ensuring their overall development.
