Extensive preparations have been completed in Jammu & Kashmir for the Re-NEET 2026 examination conducted by the National Testing Agency (NTA). Approximately 50,000 candidates from across the region will appear for this exam, which is being held again following a paper-leak controversy. To ensure the fair and transparent conduct of the examination, the administration has bolstered security arrangements to an unprecedented level.
A total of 27 examination centers have been designated in Jammu district. Senior officials from the district administration, police department, and education department are continuously reviewing the arrangements. Officials stated that all centers will be monitored via CCTV cameras, and adequate security personnel will be deployed.
The NTA has already issued new admit cards for the Re-NEET exam. The examination centers for many students have also been changed. Consequently, candidates are advised to re-check their admit cards and verify details regarding their new exam centers well in advance to avoid any inconvenience on the day of the exam.
The administration has also made special arrangements for traffic management around the examination centers. According to officials, security, surveillance, and other necessary facilities at all centers have been finalized. Special monitoring teams have also been constituted to ensure the exam is conducted in a peaceful and fair atmosphere.
Candidates have been urged to arrive at the examination center before the scheduled time and to carry all necessary documents along with their admit cards. The administration has clarified that no negligence or irregularity in the examination process will be tolerated.
It is noteworthy that the Re-NEET exam is being conducted for affected candidates following allegations of a paper leak in the previously held NEET exam. Given this context, security and surveillance measures have been significantly strengthened this time to uphold the credibility of the examination.
