The claim quickly spread across social platforms, with some taking it as evidence that President Trump may be receiving treatment.
The Thread user claimed – “Went to Walter Reed on Thursday to be monitored in Labour/Delivery because I’m very pregnant. Mid being monitored in triage, guess who showed up for an unscheduled “tour” of L&D? Melania Trump. Even the staff was confused as to why she was there,”.
“Looking at news reports that Trump has disappeared, I find it a little odd that Melania was randomly roaming the halls of Walter Reed only to follow with reports that her husband is MIA,” she further added.
One user X wrote, “Melania has been spotted at Walter Reed, and all the roads into the place are closed.” Another user stated, However, there is no verified confirmation that Melania was at the hospital, and neither the White House nor Walter Reed has issued a statement about such a visit. At this stage, the claim remains unverified.
Social Media goes berserk over rumours of Donald Trump’s resignation
Adding fuel to the fire, online users pointed to the White House schedule, posted on RollCall, showing President Trump is set to make an announcement from the Oval Office on September 2, 2025. Some believe this could be linked to a resignation, with theories suggesting Trump might step down citing “medical reasons.”
Others speculated that Vice President JD Vance could take the stage if Trump is unable to appear. Still, these remain unverified theories, and official details about the upcoming announcement have not yet been released.
