DC Ramban refutes rumors of cracks in Ramban flyover

Banihal, Sept 02: Deputy Commissioner Ramban, Mohammad Ilyas Khan, on Tuesday dismissed as baseless the reports of cracks developing in the Ramban Flyover on the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway.

A video shot from a distance had gone viral on social media earlier in the day, purportedly showing cracks on the flyover.

Speaking to Greater Kashmir, DC Ramban said that soon after the video surfaced, he visited the site along with officials from the National Highways Authority of India (NHAI) and other officers. An on-spot inspection confirmed that no cracks had developed.

“The flyover is structurally sound, and its design may cause visuals that appear misleading from a distance. People are advised not to pay heed to such rumors,” the Deputy Commissioner said.

He reassured the public that the Ramban Flyover is completely safe and fully functional.
