JK police arrests bootlegger with 480 bottles of illicit liquor

Samba: Intensifying its drive against the sale of illicit liquor, J&K Police has arrested a bootlegger and recovered four hundred eighty bottles of illicit liquor of 180 ml each from his possession in the jurisdiction of Police Station Ramgarh.

Acting on a reliable information about sale of illicit liquor in Rara area, a police party of Police Station Ramgarh headed by SHO PS Ramgarh rushed to the spot and caught red-handed the accused person from his own shop selling illicit liquor to the general public in the area and recovered 480 bottles of JK Special Whisky of 180 ml each from his possession.

The accused person identified as Jaswinder Singh S/o Shamsher Singh R/o Rara, tehsil Ramgarh district Samba has been arrested.

A case FIR No. 112/2024 u/s 48 (f) Excise Act has been registered against him in Police Station Ramgarh and investigation started.
